What is the 70% rule?
Alcohol yields, on average, 30% less than gasoline. Therefore, to pay off, it must cost up to 70% of the price of gasoline. If it costs more than that, gasoline is more advantageous.
Does this rule apply to all cars?
It is a general market average. Some modern cars may have better efficiency with alcohol (reaching 75%), but 70% is the ideal safety margin to ensure savings.
When to use?
Whenever you fill up your Flex car. The difference of cents can represent a big saving at the end of the month.
